I have spent quite a bit on mods probaly like 2K after my new up and comming mods I will probaly spent 4K on modifications by summer. So the question is I plan on keeping my car about another 3 years what do you do with all these mods ? What do you do with the car ? Will some of you trade the car with it all modded up like this ? I know making sales on modded cars are hard plus you lose alot of money also. For those that keep it stock is smart. But me I gotta just have it look the way I want it to look. So how much have you spent in mods alone ?

Mods
Lets see

C32 Brakes about $900 installed
H&R Cupkit about $900 installed
Pulley $871 installed

Next mods AMG sway bars
exhaust

The feeling of a different car priceless

Never add the costs, you never get the money back

I spent $8 for a set of genuine AMG valve stem caps. Salesman told me they were lighter than the stock caps, reducing my unsprung weight. Improves handling and lowers E.T.'s!

I'll be at 10 G's by the end of the year, no question.

If you're only planning on keeping the car for 3 years, it all depends on how important the "re-sale" value is to you and whether you're willing or able to swap parts when you're going to sell the car.

I don't intend on selling my car or getting rid of my car for at least another 8 years and by that time, I'll be in my mid 30's and will most likely be out of the mood to mod anymore (then again, I should never say never).

No matter what, it all comes down to whether you're willing to dish out money now, lose money later on, and/or have the money to expend. If you're not someone who "mods" cars as a hobby and enjoys it. Do the little things and stop there.

Drex, I doubt that! You'll just start with more expensive cars. Hopefully, with a manual tranny in the future.

I'm at about $14k right now or so in mods. A couple of grand short of what an M3 would have cost me in total.

LOL...You're right, tommy. I actually have my eye on the Lotus Exige for my next car (manual of course).

i remember replying to such a thread when i just join the board (year 2002). In the past 3 years..i spent approx 10k modding my car. i cant say it is money well-spent, but it definitely makes me fonder of my car.

For the people I know in the show scene, this cost may range anywhere from $30g's to $50g's easily. Dont ask me why, i guess cuz we are just hardcore fanatics....LOL

I honestly stopped counting after $30g and that was like one year ago.....

Almost at 50g's and not even close to being done. Another 30+g's and i'm calling it quits! lol

Damn, I just went through the #'s and I've already spent at least $8,450. I'm sure I forgot a few things here and there.

For the remainder of the mods I have in mind, it's going to total around $18,200...

Oh there is...I'm getting to that point. Another few mods (I already purchased them) and I'm done, unless some sort of bolt-on V-12 surfaces.
