2010 RRS ; BMW K1200R; 14 E350 ; 14 RRS on order
yep, I just installed mine yesterday.
1 bolt (after you pop the cap off of it) removed the accelerator petal.
Pull out the entire assembly. Unplug the exiting cable. Put the sprintbooster in between (self explanatory once you see it). Then reassemble.
One thing though, it wasn't obvious which orientation I was supposed to plug the thing in. It seem the head would fit both ways (if turned 180 degrees). Any thoughts on which is right?

Now that you've found it, I'm merging your thread w/ the original thread made on here. I just want those who search to be able to go to one thread discussing this.

sprint booster
ok so i've searched through previous threads to find out about easy DIY mods that are cheap yet rewarding and came across sprint boosters.
it wasn't very clear where these can be purchased though. i did a raw internet search and came across this link: (the problem is that this is only for automatic... and i need one in manual for the m271)
http://www.slkfans.com/
for those of you who have sprint boosters installed, where did you buy them and how much did you pay? are you satisfied?
thanks!

For my auto with Kleeman kit it was worth it. Imediate response from the throttle, no delays, and the supercharger comes on right away.

and have you tried comparing it to resetting your throttle?
im trying to figure out if the affect is similar. in other words... if i do both, will their affects be additive?
btw... your purple $#*! is hot... i drive the same color

Not the same as resetting the throttle. It take the signal from your pedal and compresses it so everything happens sooner. It makes the auto's shift down faster and take off quicker.

ok... i read all 6-7 pages of the sprint booster forum and i went from being almost convinced that i'll get one to thinking that i can get the same ultimate affect by driving with a "fun foot".
and yeah you're right... there are two types, one for manual (more aggressive) and one for automatic.
regardless i think i am getting one.
i realize that i may have repeated some issues discussed in that previous thread, but i just wanted some feedback from those who've had a sprint booster for several months now.
one drawback that i read was that in stop-and-go traffic, that the increased sensitivity of the throttle can be an adjustment.

NO EXTRA HP! Just a different throttle response. Thats where people are being stupid. It changes the time it takes to get to full throttle and kicks down the auto's right away. Please read all the posts regarding before becoming one of the stupid ones. As for the sarcasm about the type R bull, people are changing there rear ends to change the mechanical advantage, making there cars faster off the line. NO EXTRA HP! with that either but it does work for getting you off the line faster. This is along the same lines, it makes the car react quicker. NO EXTRA HP! Did I mention NO EXTRA HP!
