Sprint Booster - Car behaving like a monster and hungry for speed

Well, I agree with the guy. I put it on my CLK200 when it was 57K on the clock.
Dealer explain me that the only think this gadget is doing, is to cheat the ECU from idle to 4000 revs changing the butterfly angle for quicker response.
No power increase just the feeling that you have a wire and not an electronic controlled throttle.
However, after 100K some related components start to fail. 1st the throttle body, then TPS, then MAF.
I did reset ECU and all was OK, but after a while problems again.
To sort my words I test all combinations with or without SB and above components.
As a result I can say that SB after 100K and so km's causes problems to throttle body ( unstable idle and misfiring on a highway) so I decide to take it out. But no complain for the time was on the car.

Found this to be a good assessment of the SB unit..

"Conclusions
The Sprint Booster is a simple amplifier that multiplies the accelerator pedal sensor signal, making the accelerator pedal more sensitive. It does not eliminate any significant delay in throttle response, nor does it greatly improve acceleration figures. It does not change the adaptive throttle control programming of electronic throttle control vehicles. It does change pedal “feel”. This change in feel is interpreted by some as improved throttle response, acceleration, and a change in adaptive throttle control programming. Considering what it actually does, it is expensive."
