How about this for some damage to my car

i was traveling down a 30mph road to go to my national guard armory i was traveling the speed limit had my seat belt on not talking on my cell phone and even had the radio off and some really young kid backed out in to the street into my car today i have only had it for 2 month's i called the cops they made a report no one was injured the kid got a ticket and i was 100% not at fault who knows when it will get fixed i have dumped about 5 grand into the car since i bought it i was pissed if any of you have questions i will try to answer and yes my new wheel is messed up only the inner edge of the tire is on the ground so i don't know what kind of mechanical damage there is besides the body !!!!!!!

That is a really bad rash you have there. How can other drivers be so thoughtless? It is not that hard to look out the window. I am always sorry when a nice ride is damaged like that. Happy that you are not hurt, that would be very bad.

The real bad news is that it will cost 6 to 8K to have it repaired. That rear wheel camber problem will probably require the suspension be removed and your car given a ride on the Celette bench. This is the only way to have the frame be put right.

http://www.celette-na.com/setupsheets/PDF/7203.309.pdf

Hopefully the one that hit you is insured. Find a shop that is certified by MBUSA, and make sure they have the proper tools and bench to fix your car. It looks like you need a new rear door, and rear fender in addition to paint, blending, and trim. Check that wheel for runout with a dial indicator as it may be tweaked too.

Besides repairing your car, the other guys insurance should pay for a rental and impared value. If you hear one word of static or nonsense from the insurance company, get a lawyer. They have them, you might need to "lawyer up" too.

Sorry to hear this .. but at least you are okay ..
Get a certified MB bodyshop to repair it and try asking for diminished value of the car if possible ..

tell them that if they had an e-class as loaner, that you'd like to have that for the days/ weeks that your c-class is in the shop, because you might consider buying one for your wifey

No loaners for non-warranty work, unless insurance pays for it. And what's with not using punctuation?

[QUOTE=Moviela]That is a really bad rash you have there. How can other drivers be so thoughtless? It is not that hard to look out the window. I am always sorry when a nice ride is damaged like that. Happy that you are not hurt, that would be very bad.

..I doubt seriously that the frame is bent. I agree that an upper control arm is probably bent, but the rest is only skin deep. Besides, it's a unibody. The "frame" portion is welded to the floor pan, and you have to get hit really hard to move it. Then, it's totaled. That sucks bad, but could be worse. Just make sure whomever fixes it, paints it PERRFECT, so you CANT tell by looking reallyreally close around the mouldings and stuff. The painter will have to take his time and tape it perfect. Dont except less. Overspray will hurt your feelings as long as you own the car!
