For acceleration and handling, the Subie is awesome. It's also loud, tinny and feels cheap in some respects. (Listen to the sound when you close the trunk lid.)
I lived with my Subaru for 9 months, before trading it in on another Benz.
Both decent cars. Depends on your tastes and priorities.
