Ohhh gawd, oh gawd. Erik, you have been on a tear of buying lately. Don't do it man. Friends don't let friends make mistakes like this. Look, if Rice is what we say to make fun of the silly imports, then we need a name for this type of bad styling on a German Car

a. Strudel
b. Sourkraut
c. Swine hoot (sounds german)

In any case, I was just up in Michigan and almost tried to get in touch with you to see how your car feels.

The whole thing looks photoshopped, not even a good photoshop, just an April's fools joke... Very funny though, best April fools joke I've seen so far.

here's how it goes down...most everyone will hate it/ call it rice/ whatever until someone has the ***** to actually try it and pull it off with full body work to make it flow but once its done and pulled off well- id say more than half of these 'haters' of the hood will eventually turn around to liking it. I see it happen all the time and I could potentially see this happening the same way as well

Since I noticed there was some intrest in the hood, I requested pricing information. The price is $3995 plus $150.00 shipping and handling from performance products. Contact Richard Metodiev - richardme@performanceproducts.com.

First off, I think it's down right ugly. I guess the price is high becasue according to the picture the hood is attched to the front bumper. LOL. so you'll probably need to buy a new one of those too. It must be one of those hood an bumper off setups to service the engine.

Uhh Bossman;

I'm just calling it what it is. Crappy styling. Period. However, I'll elaborate.
The SLK that hood comes off of has a smooth and soft styling. Look at the car from the rear. Now look at a C230. So different.

The SLK has such a soft crease in the body line forming to a more definitive crease, This compliments the lines of its hood. Plus the hood rake has a different angle.

You may feel that it can be pulled off. Have at. Show us the pictures. To each their own. The hood is Stroodel.

Did you also like the billet Grill someone pointed at a few weeks ago?

I'm not so upset that I didn't get a reply from them anymore...I'm not spending $4k + paint. This would look hot on a black coupe though...

uhh...wtf are you talking about. I didnt say I liked it or didnt. However I think you got my repy mixed up with all the others in which THEY were saying - rice, ugly, awful etc....I dont care if it can or cant be pulled off. But I can see that if done carefully and with the right lines in a certain body kit- yes it could be pulled off. WHY dont you have at it kid? Im just talking about how no one likes it until someone will attempt to do this and either pass or fail at it, then at that point with opinions change and people will stand behind it. I have no idea what your talking about or where you came from with your reply to mine and you rambled on about complete nonsense. Yeah I liked the billet grill someone pointed out a few weeks ago- maybe if I was in Wisconsin and needed a portable cheese grater to be with me whenever needed?!..... stupid

W/4K you can pull off a pretty nice 'DTM'-ish body overhaul. That is WAY too much $$ I believe the look can be pulled off though...
