Sacrifice Ride Comfort for Looks? (RIMS & Lowered)
For anyone that has their car lowered, especially with TEIN coilovers, has your over all ride decreased significantly?
I know when you get 19s, and low profile tires, it makes the ride a little rough, but it's a pretty noticeable difference for me. I guess I didn't expect it to be this rough. My Mercedes feels like my import cars when I drive it. I feel every bump and dip. I kind of miss the smooth and comfort of the stock suspension and higher profile tires. Question is: Is it worth losing the comfort of a Mercedes for rims? Don't get me wrong, I love modding, been doing it for years on imports, but 1st for me on my benz.
Any other people feel me?
I have 19" Brabus Mono VI multi, nitto nt555 235/30/19 & 265/35/9 with TEIN basic coilovers.

You're always going to sacrifice some ride quality when you lower the car and get lower profile tires than stock. I honestly think it's worth the sacrifice to be unique. Then again my car didn't have that smooth of a ride to begin with anyway so there's no real difference for me except worrying about bending wheels.
In other words, JUST DO IT!

It's strange, but once I put my rims on, the ride was actually smoother. Either way, I actually enjoy the roughness and feeling every bump. With the stock suspension, it was still that way, just a little rougher with the TEIN's.
That's especially the reason I wanted the Super Streets. Just in case I really couldn't stand the roughness, I could adjust it to a softer ride quality. I'm actually gonna adjust the dampers, to make it a little more stiff than it currently is.
Guess it just depends on people's taste. A lot of people don't like a lot of noise in their cars, especially tire noise. I actually don't mind it at all. Different strokes for different folks.

Too many to list
To me, I like to stay in the middle where there's still comfort yet stiff enough to have a little fun around the corners. I think the stock suspension on the c-class sport and c32 is a perfect blend (haven't test driven the C55 yet to know how it feels). Dropping it 2"+ and with low profile tires....been there and done that....it ain't cool when driving around pothole cities. Plus, I like to keep my kidneys in one place...not bouncing around all over.
