I tried to search for it but was unsucessful. TO be honest I am terrible at searching. Hence, all insults will be well deserved.

Getting to my question:

I am either goint to buy a 01/02 c230 0r C320.I like the front bumper of the newer redesigns. Can a 05 bumper directly connected to an 01 or 02.

yes u can fit the bumper off a newer C class once its a W203 Body style all u might have to get is the Bumper Reinforcement that goes inside the bumper cover

Does the 05 require any kinds of side skirts to match the bumper?
Are the 01 lights HID?
I wanted to switch to the 05's as well?

yes, there are side skirts and rear bumper to go along with 05 front bumper.
yes & no.
you can upgrade to either bi-xenons or 05 halogens.

No, the side skirts are no different on the 05 and Above Coupes. Same goes for the rear bumper...its identical. Tail lights are new for 05...and better looking. I assume we are talking about a Coupe, since there were no C230 sedans until MY03. If youre going to upgrade, yes, get the 05 bumper, and BIX lights...the clears are no substitute. The bumper is more or less bolt on. Easy upgrade. Good time to do the lights as well. Do a pulley too, less things to scratch with the nose off.

the 05 kit is basically an amg kit, you can get a amg style kit that is direct fitement that looks exactly the same and is a lot cheaper.

i def. recommend you getting it! changes the entire look of the car, i, myself am very glad i got the sport instead of the c230 or c240. let us know how it goes, good luck!

Bi-Xenons as well. The bumper was an easy bolt-on. Of course if it is OEM, you will not have any problems. The only thing is that you'll also need to buy the bumper reinforcement as well as the fog lights and bumper grills.
