The difference between Luxury and Sport in terms of Suspension

Hi all,
This is my first post in this respecable forum, and I hope I will be a useful contributor to this forum in the future.

I am thinking of buying a c230 7G Auto Merc in Egypt, and I have a couple of questions:

1. My car is going to be in Avantegarde trim in 16in wheels. Does this mean that it will be supplied with sport suspension or there is no relation whatsoever between trim level and suspension?

2. What is the "sports suspension" supplied in the c230 exactly? Is it equipped with larger wheels and stiffer/lower springs? How much does it cost for the springs if that is the only difference?

Thanks and regards,

Shebs

I don't know why I did not get any replies till now. Is my question very difficult to answer or is it very stupid to begin with?

Please try to help me if you know the answers to my questions.

Even in the U.S., sport designations mean different things different years. But assuming you mean the newer cars, the ones in the U.S. called Sport Sedans have 17" wheels with lower profile high performance rubber, bigger 2 piston caliper brakes, are about 1" lower, stiffere more bolstered seats and have a much stiffer tighter suspensions. The older models, back in 2002 for example, the sport designation did not denote any difference in wheel diameter or suspension setup.

In Australia there is a sports suspension package offered which lowers the car 30mm.

Don't know what components and brand though.

In Singapore - they sell a sports suspension option together with wheel upgrade that gives you firmer suspension, 30mm lowered ride height, and 17" staggered wheels (17x7 and 17x8).

They also have the sports pack that is the same as that described by Buellwinkle - but this is only available on the C200.
