Is formymercedes.com the same as directcartoys on ebay. They share the same images.

2007 spoiler
Has anyone removed the spoiler from a 2007 model? If so, any advice?

if they are what they show in the picture then the fitment was good. I would recomend you use the Black silicone to sttach it, otherwise the tape comes off in hot/cold weather.

Quote: ATTENTION RIEGER ROOF SPOILER OWNERS:
How did you secure it to the glass/weather stripping? silicone? glass glue? tape? I'm having a hard time finding a solution to resist theft. Emailed, searched w/o much info. Any help would be great. Thnx.
Tape and silicone work great! I would say silicone all the way. I had it on mine, when the guys try to steal it they end up breaking the roof spoiler in half, thats how strong the bond was.
Make sure you clean the glass with rubbing alcohol prior to install, the clean surface is the key

i ended up ordering from formymercedes.com

its pricier...but i searched through the forum & it came highly recommended

the sport lip spoiler:
http://www.formymercedes.com/morepic...OnInstall2.jpg

also, another reason not going through ebay is the paint/quality. i dont want to put something cheap where the paint will fade or chip off.

if u do order that, u prob want an unpaint one, and find a respectable body shop to paint it.

yeah thats what im worried about....driving on the highway and my lip spoiler flying off haha

what kind of black silicone do you recommend? if you were to ever remove, would it leave a mark to repaint?

You think CF lip/Roof spoiler/trunkspoiler would look weird on a Barolo Red 06 C230?

Barolo red has an elegant look and I honestly believe CF might match but I would keep them same color. I would color match them all and keep it looking classy.

Elegant/Classy look

Sporty Look

But if your into the sporty look it still will look nice just I myself will keep the elegant look by color matching them.

LMAO, that's China for you. They prob made the badges in the same factory and figured they'd kill two birds with one stone and take the pic for the ebay auctions w/ the badges and wings on. LOL

And yes, I agree w/ the color matching. I like the idea of how you can color match the Carbon and keep it more subtle.

Sounds like a replica to me. No differences on the trunks from 2001-2007. Where'd you buy it? I ended up getting duped a LONG time ago for mine.

Yup. It's fake. If it's from the same guys I got mine from, it's a really nice looking replica, but sounds 100% fake to me. You got away pretty cheap. I paid more through ebay (cheaper than retail, but more than you paid).

I had to go to drastic measures (drilling) in order to get it to stay on the trunk. Not even the shop glue would hold it down. I always said that at some point, I'd replace it with an authentic Carlsson, but I've been too lazy and concentrating on other things to spend money on, so never got around ot it.
