If it were priced better I would for sure get it. The HIDs were $250 and have a lot more value for driving at night. The spoiler is simply aesthetics.

And the lights aren't? Considering you can't see worth a darn based on length and output. 8000 k looks to me like; Hey everybody, see my cool looking blue colored lights coming at ya. But then again you probably count on the city provided street lights to help you see.

You pay to play.

Anyways, 8000k is worse for output than what you had stock.
4300k or so is optimum.

^^^ For sure. Anything above 5000k you will lose (brightness) lumens. You're straying away from the color temperature of daylight.

I think you posted this before and Neal said it might but probably not because the bumper is in a different shape.

Neal is a great guy with a great product on hand and I understand that the higher the price, the better the exclusivity, but $600 for an aesthetic part of a car is a bit too much. You could use half that money toward something more noticeable and to be honest with you something of much more value like new rims.

I was one of the first on the list to buy one and when they meant expensive I was thinking maybe $400 dollars expensive, but I had to bail when I saw almost $600. I want rims on my car and this to me is much more worth it.

However, I am in no means downplaying the fact that this looks like a quality product and just because I can't afford it does not mean that I don't appreciate that it is a hot-looking item to get on your car.........that is of course if you have the money lol!

Did you guys think about how much it would be if someone like Brabus was to produce the CF lip? It'd probably be in the $1500 range like the E55 lip. Neal's lip is of decent quality too so $600 isn't bad. Sure we all want cheaper but you do get what you pay for.

I think you missing the point and your comparison doesn't hold water. What people are saying is that irregardless of manufactuer or quality, there is limit
to what peole are willing to pay for an aesthetic modification. Once that limit is passed, it doesn't matter what the price is. I can't speak for anyone else, I'm basically saying that even if Brabus did make it for $600 as well, I would still not pay that much for that part. I perhaps misused the word "overpriced" and should have said "not willing to pay that price". I surely wasn't trying offend or demean Neal by doing so and apologize if I did.

I have the CF lip from Euroteck installed on my 2006 C230 SS. You wouldn't think something so subtle would attract so much attention everywhere I go. People who don't even know about cars tell me "Wow, that's a cool bumper!"
I get even more compliments from fellow MB owners. For me it was a pretty good mod to spend on.

I like it, but since my car is black to begin with, I don't think I'm going to do it. Besides, I've scraped the hell under the front thing already. It only takes one curb, one time, to kill the paint job under there.

For once in my life I'm actually glad most Texas roads are all flat, straight, and even. lol

It's also a good thing I'm nuts about parking the car. I usually leave about 1-2ft from the curb, so I get plenty of clearance. But yeah, this isn't a mod you install and forget about. You always have to be conscious that it's there and have to drive accordingly to make sure no damage will be caused.

I do that all the time now. But in the first month I had the car, I already screwed it up.

I have taken the touch up paint and made it all go away. Now, I can't see it and the car looks almost perfect.

Whenever anybody else in the household drives it, I always warn them, "keep it away from the curb or you might just get sacked." Naturally in a joking manner. It's a good thing that the car is short so it can be left away from the curb and still not risk having its end protruding in the parking lot.

I live in the Silicon Valley area; while most roads are liveable, but some seriously require an SUV.

I was actually rather upset that Mercedes made the car so low. Now, I am not as concerned.

"Not willing to pay that price" would be a better way to describe it.

I'm sure I am missing the point again but if you drive a Mercedes, BMW, Porsche, or whatever, don't expect to pay Honda prices on modifications REGARDLESS of it being aesthetic or not. If you can find someone who makes the CF lip for $300 more power to you. Until someone else is willing to mass produce a CF lip it's either you get one or you don't. I'm sure the W203 lips are limited production just like the C55/CLK were so if you choose to not buy one, you may never get one.

Exactly. EXCLUSIVITY is the name of the game. For $600 sure why not? Then again some people value some things more than others. I was mixed about getting mine (not a fan of CF) but I'm glad I did because it completes the front end.

Patrick, if you think the stock C is low, imagine how I must feel on these poorly maintained San Diego roads.
