The price from Stiegemeier for the Liquidlife Mod is $395 for porting, $125 if you need a snout rebuild, and $45 for stripping the coating off the rotor (if required.) Including shipping, count on spending $615 for all of the above + the price of a core Eaton M45.

This should help with detonation. The supercharger will breath easier thus providing a denser, cooler outlet charge. And, as Ed demonstrated, the more efficient supercharger needs less power from the engine to turn, so you get better gas mileage. (The larger, ported outlet area means the compressed air moves through a larger port, doesn't get worked by the rotors as much, and doesn't absorb as much heat.)

I believe M271 owners already spin their superchargers up to 11 PSI of boost, right? So I would think that this mod would help a bit more than the M111 cars as you're already moving more air stock than pullied M111 cars.\

As for power - Stiegemeier is claiming a 15 hp gain (presumably at the flywheel.) I will know shortly as I've just finished the install of a Kenne Bell Boost-A-Pump mod and will be installing the supercharger this weekend.

Lifespan of the motor?
I've run into people having new heads put on to their M271's under warranty with no mods, just issues from the factory. So, whats the lifespan of an unmodified vs. modified engine?

I'm running an ASP Pulley for 80K + miles...
no issues with the engine yet, but plenty other issues.

I'm down for this mod, when the time comes.
I'll be due for a rebuild soon enough, do it then.
Likely I may need to remove the header to do my 1st smog next year, so I'll
do the SC and coat the headers.

Still need a source for ceramic coating, anyone? PM me please.

I'm feeling quite good about this naming. Honestly if I had read this thread prior to getting the mod, I might have not gotten the work done. But what I have found is that our cars ECU compensates.

RTking is on the right track. We need more fuel for this mod. But if you have more air, and more fuel, it equals more power.

For those with questions, how many of you can say, you have a M111, or a M271 with 33.3 mpg?

So, I was following some homeboys last night, one in a C32 (modded w/ tuning) and a C350 (tuned on stock parts) and my car is still slower no question. Wish I could say it was easy to keep up, but it wasn't.

Even still, if I didn't have my current mods, I don't think I would've even been close to them. I'm really needing to get my other stuff done, but I think I'll eventually go this route also (along with other mods to help temperature).

Then maybe I'll feel comfortable with the power. Also keep in mind that with the power I've gained already, my gas mileage is not good at all, but that's cuz I have something in my car that nobody else does and it definitely contributes to more fuel consumption.
