Dear friends,
Hi, I would like to ask 2006 c-230 owners, if your cars still has the driver's seat, side mirrors and steering wheel linked to your smartkey ? did they discontinued that feature ? and now you have to just press that memory button 1, 2 or 3, to get your preffered settings ?
And also does the '06 have thicker brake pads ? because I've been reading about c-230 that has mileage of about 15,000 miles to 20,000 that you have to change the brake pads and the rotors. the thing is I am driving a 2002 Toyota Sequoia ( 32,000 miles ) and I haven't even change my pads and that my friend who owns the same model told me he change his pads around 42,000 miles. even my cheap car before (galant) reach around 28,000 miles before I changed the pads. does this mean MB is putting a thin or cheap pads on the C-230 ?
My dealer informed me that my car would probably arrive around 2nd week of July.
Thanks in advance guys for input and have a nice day.
Gary

yes the memory lined to smartkey features has been removed. From what I understand, it can be added back at the dealership using the Stardiagnose computer.

The pads wear quickly not because they are cheap, but because they are performance oriented. There are aftermarket pads out there however, that provide similar performance with better wear characteristics.

That sucks! I didn't know they removed that. Well, at least it can still be added through Star Diag.
