07 Sport models include spoiler, dual tips; C55 discontinued

According to this MBUSA press release:

http://www.emercedesbenz.com/May06/2...formation.html

In MY07, the C230 and C350 sport models will get AMG-style spoilers and dual-tip exhausts. Interior will get bird's-eye maple trim instead of aluminum. Most interestingly, the C230 is now an E85 flex fuel vehicle! I think this is the first Mercedes to run on corn!

They've also discontinued the C55.

I think this pretty much guarantees that next summer we'll see the W204 debut.
I doubt they would add all these style goodies unless the body style was about to change.

That's right, no AMG model for MY07. The next C-class AMG will be the W204 C63. Only question is will it be debut next year along with the non-AMG W204 for MY08, or will it be MY09.

I doubt it. That climate control panel in your picture is *really* old. It's pre-MY05 facelift. The new one he's talking about is probably like the one in the CLK or SLK.

In that case you better STFF because there have been plenty of threads on this topic across the forum. E85 is a long enough alphanumeric string for the search function.

I knew it. As soon as I saw "amdeutsch". Ok, I'm wrong.

I wonder what percentage of your posts *don't* include the acronym "STFF".

speaking about the car with the flux capacitor,

The DeLorean Motor Company — whose car became the time traveling machine in “Back to the Future” and later fizzled in the early 1980s after churning out fewer than 10,000 cars — is still alive an well, reports The News-Press. The company is now owned by Stephen Wynne, who acquired the right to the name and the cars before founder John DeLorean died. The company now provides service to existing DeLorean, and can even build one from the ground up from left over parts for about $42,000.

Birdseye Maple on the C... that's nice.

Might make my friend want a C-Class afterall. He absolutely hates the '06 C230 for its aluminum trim, which I think is pretty nice.

I think a 2007 C350 w/ 6-speed manual gearbox would be quite a sweet ride!

Do you think there will be significant discounts on the 07 models?

LMAO I was thinking the same thing...............
To be perfectly honest, I think the search option sucks. It needs to actually SEARCH better. Everytime I do a search with the keywords I want to use, it gives me a list of a bunch of unrelated stuff. So IMHO, STFF is somewhat useless.

Lets see:

You) Less than 50 posts
Me) More than 6500

How many times have you actually done it, STFF that is? Afterall you did bring up the percentage bit. And by your very own question............

Sorry about that. Didn't mean to get you to bunch up your pantyhose that many times.

Oh, now we're going to throw down the number-of-posts-gauntlet are we?

The reason I know who you are, amdeutsch, is that I've actually been around this forum for 2 years, but a lot of times I'll be away for a couple months, and forget my username/password, and instead just set up a new one, so I'm not as newb as my post count might make me seem.

No disrespect, after 6500 posts I'm sure you've helped a ton of people (and is probably why you're most on about S'ingTFF). It's just that when I saw your username in the thread preview as "last poster" on my thread, I actually said to myself, "oh here we go, a STFF post". And lo and behold, it was. I LOL'ed.

Every forum needs wizened old curmudgeon. You're it. Btw, WTF is your avatar image? You never change it. Oh wait, I'm sure it's been discussed before, STFF, right? I guess I'll never know.

Wow. Ok now I'm jealous. Spoiler and dual-tips are right off a C32/C55, ok. Seen it before. But those wheels are pretty hot. And chrome smartkey, ****!!!! That's awesome! If you STFF, you'll see me asking if there was such a thing as a chrome smartkey like 2 years ago when I first got my C230K. I guess they finally did it. Now I feel like selling my car.
