MB's C230K all-weather mats are better than Mc Neil's Weathertech's mats?
Hi!
I'm interested in purchasing new all-weather mats for my C230K; do the Mercedes Benz OEM all-weather mats are better than Mc Neil's Weathertech mats? Is it worth to purchase Weathertech's cargo mat for this sports coupe?
Your information will be appreciated,

Out Of Control!!
Didn't know there was enough snow in San Juan to worry about! :p
I think the MacNeil mats are better; they're thickerer, and the only bad thing for some people is that the black ones have a red border (tan and gray don't).
Cargo area - the MacNeil has a rigid rim around the outside of it (for her pleasure), so I can see how it wouldn't be good if you put down your backseat for cargo often. Do a search - someone posted a pic of the MB one, which looked more functional.

Hi, Tommy!
Thanks for your reply... you are right, in Puerto Rico, we don't have any snow; BUT, we do have a LOT of sand and salt water the whole year...
Regards.

I use the MB all weather mats. They're not as thick as the weathertech's (MacNiel), but they're more flexible.
I have a weathertech mat in the hatch. The lip of the mat is flexible and bends when cargo is placed on it. Had a small SUV for four years with a weathertech mat in the cargo area. Never had a problem with the lip cracking. Material was routinely loaded onto the lip.

MBWorld Fanatic!
i have the MB all-weather mats right now but i'll soon be upgrading to the weathertech black ones. the MB mats are just not deep enough and they move around a lot.. the clasps they came with to hold them in place simply don't work (they come out). the weathertech mats, albeit with the annoying red stripe, are far superior. i had them in my civic and my dad has had 1 set of weathertech mats in 4 generations of jeep grand cherokees.
as far as the stripe is concerned, i think i'll just buy a magnum 44 marker or something and paint over it.
