I've been told mine will be ready around the 1st of August, but in germany right now so i get to pick it up from the factory
just talked to dealer i have a pick-up date of July 24

I was researching around and found a website where it said the release date here in the United States is July 1st but I highly doubt that...I'm pretty sure it will come out much later in the summer

I placed the order last week and already have the VIN, expect to have my 2007 C230 here (West Coast) about mid July. I think the big dealers will have some C class in the first week of July.

Was it easy for you to place an order or did you have to be on a waiting list? I think I'm going to stop by Mercedes Benz of San Francisco I'm sure they'll be getting the 2007 and hopefully mid July! What was the price they sold it to you for?

MB is taking some time with the W204 considering the BMW 3 series and Audi A4 has been updated, but as long as the W204 isnt out my car wont look dated so its alright.

I am DC employee, so I have 12.25% off MSRP. My 07 C230, Black on Black,Sunroof and Auto is approx 29.2K and no sales tax in OR

It's too bad I don't get that type of discount. shucks! everything in san francisco is way to overly priced anyway..especially the sales tax of 8.50%! I'm considering of purchasing the 2007 C230. I can't wait. I would actually consider a 3 series BMW but the radio deck is so outdated, it looks like my 89 325ic other than that the body of the 3 series looks great!

If you work for a Fortune 500 company, they also often have employee discounts for the cars as well. I'm in the SF area as well. I have 8.75% sales tax.
If you're really concerned about taxing, this is what you should do. You should get a PO Box in Mill Valley or Sausalito and register the car to that address. Then you'll enjoy 7.75% tax. Make sure that you inform your dealership and your attorney about this so if they accuse you of being a terrorist in the future, you can explain to them why you have such an alternate address.
I think that's about all you can do.

A great car that is able to keep on getting better. This C Class has had a lot of tweaks over the years.
C-Class W203 Timeline
2001, first introduction
2004.5, some Sport models get different brakes and a different steering wheel all at no additional charge.
2005, Facelift, new exterior, new interior, new Direct Control package
2006, New engines
2006.5, some cars get new steering system
2007, new standard equipment.
I think it's a pity, in 2008, theye're probably going to redesign the whole thing.

I think some dealers in Southern CA or near port of entry should have their 07 C Class by second week of July.

2006 was 29975 (included 775 shipping) and 2007 is 30425.
No price increase for options.

I went to look at c230 at a dealership in MD, and they just got in a 2007 c230, black on black, manual. I took it for a test drive and it was simply beautiful. Just thought I'd post that dealers are beginning to get them in (although that was the only 07 c230 they had on the lot)
Also does anyone know why it's EPA rated for 19mpg city and 25 highway. The engine is the same as last year, and the saleswoman there didn't know either. Thanks

The dealer MB of Eugene called me on Friday 07/21 and said my car is in but the service dept is not working on Sat. I have to wait until next week to get it.
Call other dealers around SF, they must have one or two C Class by now.
