Wheel Size and Fitting

I am new to this forum, well, actually I am new to the whole MB thing. I use to drive a 2003 VW GTI 1.8T. I was a regular vistor at the VW Vortex, so I am thrilled there is a forum for MBs. Ok, moving on.....

I want to get a set of wheels for my 2005 C230, however, before I make the purchase I want to make sure they will fit. I am currently looking at these wheels in black: http://www.iforged.com/v3/images/whe...ze/classic.jpg. I was going to do 18x7.5 (front) and 18x8.5 (rear). My concern is, are the wheels in the front going to be able to fit with the break caliper in the front? I do not want to spend a lot of money on a set of wheels and not have them fit (even through I could return them).

Also if you have any suggestions on a stylish set of wheels that would be great. I was maybe thinking the Lorinser LM5s in black, however I do not know of anyone that sells them in black.

Thanks for all the help in advance,

Derek

if you buy it brand new, you should ask the store! Or if you are getting it directly from iforged, tell them that you got a big brake kits and they will make one that will clear ur bbk.

Depending on how much you wanna spend, Volk Racing has a new set of wheels that I personally think are dope! If I didn't get my OZ's, I probably would've gotten these:

damn! and those fit our cars? man, if I didn't have my rims those would definitely be a great option...

I really didn't know much about volk/rays/lexion applications for MB when I was looking into wheels...

Most 2 or 3 piece Volk/Rays/Work wheels can be custom made to fit. They may not indicate it on their website, but it can be done. Usually they'll list the common bolt patterns for JDM cars, but they've done custom fitments for Benzos. I've seen some nice looking Volk rims on an SLK before.

The quality of Volk/Rays/Work is top notch and usually less expensive. It's just that many people are hesitant to put JDM wheels on a Euro car. All that mattered to me was the style/uniqueness of wheel design. That's why I went with the OZ's. Style was unique for a C Class, while at the same time familiar (CLK DTM car) and I had to add a touch of "extra" uniqueness with the color match (even though they've already been chipped (near the lug bolt).

But yeah, I agree, Phil. When I saw these rims after the fact, I was somewhat disappointed, cuz I probably could've saved a little money.
