Need help quick!
I unplugged the electronic trunk release and cannot remember where it came from! Yes, I feel stupid but my SA could not even help me.
So, I turn to the knowkedge of da forum. Does anyone with a 240 or similar have a picture of the latch area on their trunk lid? I can provide a picture if it will help.
Thanks very much for the assistance!

What would be better, however, would be to show pics of what exactly you unplugged and what exactly you can't figure out what goes where.
Pictures make a ton of difference.
Here are the pics. The red arrow points to the one in question. It is the smaller of the 2 plugs. The other one goes to the emergency trunk latch release.
Thanks in advance!

That small connector looks like X8/18, the trunk lid\FSS separation point. It is used for testing the car and harness. You don't need to connect it to anything, and there is no mating connector in the car. There is a flashing button in the trunk to allow someone to open the trunk if locked inside. This is part of that circuit and allows one to probe terminal 20 of the rear SAM from the area of the trunk release device.
I notice that a flashing release button is only installed on cars for the USA, none for the rest of the world.
I guess that is because Americans are the only ones dumb enough to lock themselves in the trunk! (Boot for our OZ and UK friends.)

No, I have not figured out where it goes yet! I DEFINITELY unplugged it from somewhere. My remote trunk release does not work because of it. I have to use my key. My wife was freaking out yesterday when she could not open the trunk to get groceries in it. I am having a hard time convincing her what a great car this is, this did not help. LOL! I couldn't tell her that I caused it because of the huge audio install (long story)!
Thanks for trying, Drex! rlee, I hope you see what I am talking about! This is driving me crazy!
