I once had a VW Passat. Hit a curb, bent the wheel and got a flat. I took it to a repair shop in my area that specializes in fixing bent rims. They took the wheel into the back room. An hour and a half later came out and the wheel was as good as new. I don't know what exactly they did but I drove the car for another 50,000 miles after that. You would think I would have had problems balancing the wheel but I never did. And the best part, the repair cost less than $100.
There are a number of these kinds of repair shops around the country. If you can't find one in your area, search the web. I also remember seeing an ad from one in the back of Car and Driver Magazine.
Good Luck.
