Any projected changes for 2003 C230s??
Hi Guys,
I was wondering if there's any rumblings about changes to the C230's for the 2003 model year. Considering this is the first year of the model, there might be something in the works.
God I hope one day they make an in dash CD player for Mercedes without having to get navigation. The six disc is nice, but it gobbles up glove compartment room.
Let me know if you guys know of anything. Thanks.

There is an in-dash CD player. Get the part number from a UK forum member and order it from your dealer or from a deaker in the UK. It won't work with the phone but it will still control the CD Changer if you want both.

Buellwinkle, you keep misleading people with that pix of the cabrio styling exercise. MBSPY has stated for months that it'll never happen... your wishful dreaming notwithstanding. No flames intended, just that maybe you should clarify as you post for the new folks who don't know better that it's just a concept exercise going nowhere.

2002 Mercedes-Benz C230 Kompressor Sports Coupe
There's some stuff you can extrapolate from what has been floating around...
Mud Flaps are a new accessory for 2002.
Sirius Satellite Radios are likely by late-2002 (MB is a part owner of Sirius Radio, so they will be pushing it)
HID Headlights are likely for 2003 (most competitors in class have it for 2002)
Other European features are likely in the future too. Personally, I think in-dash CD-player will be likely in 2003, because of all the negative press the 'lack' of one generated in the first-drives that came out.
Other than that, I don't think the C230 is likely to change much. One reason is that they are finishing up a new plant in Brazil to start building the C230. If that goes through in 2002/2003, then they are likely to minimize product changes and concentrate on a successful transition to Brazilian manufacture.
