Ouch.. seems worse than the problem I had...

When I had my C230 Sport, sometimes the car would seem to get stuck in a lower gear and I couldn't step on the gas, without the tach reaching redline..!

I actually had to pull over and stop and restart the car, and the problem would mysteriously disappear... have you ever had this problem?

That could be the automatic transmission getting stuck in "limp home mode". Only second gear is useable.

20+ to list......
Sorry to hear what you guys are experiencing, so far none of your problems happened to mine. As to the problem that Tangerine was describing, I think it might be some sort of cold start protection kind of deal from factory.

Wow, the battery was losing power or leaking its fluids?

If it's leaking its fluids, I hope that the dealer did a good job of cleaning it up, since it is quite volatile and acidic.

If the car is driven at least once a week, then things like this really shouldn't happen.

Never had a battery problem with my C230, but I did have this battery problem in my 1997 Toyota Camry before the Benz purchase... had to get a new batter and alternator for about $640...

both, losing power and fluids out of the clear drain... eventually the battery was so weak that the alarm woudnt sound anymore. the car is driven plenty. 30+ K in less than 2 years...
