it sounds incredible on the inside too. I am sure you know that the C-Class has a stock 8 inch sub in the rear package tray. I removed the sub, cut the whole wide opened and sealed the new sub enclosure to it to act as an open port.

Even though I am not done, I have a whole bunch of pictures in the thread titled "Trunk audio install done - Spare Tire?" I am not sure how to post them in this thread after posting in that one.
Progress has been put on hold due to financial reasons (funds had to be shifted to keep the driver's license).

LOL! Doesn't it just kill you shell out hard earned money for that? Just after I spent $1100 getting everything to finish my system. Now with the price of gas, my wife is talking about puting the Benz on the chopping block. Inside, I am thinking NO, NOT AFTER ALL THE WORK I HAVE PUT IN THIS! But, she does not know it exists yet - if ever.

Yeah it does....my daily driver (the truck) costs just under 100 to fill up, and I just got a ticket a few days ago which is cutting into my "spending" funds.

It surely sucks. I guess it is better to pay $575 +/- than to lose your license. You have kept up with my install, haven't you? My HU should be here Friday, I WAS going to have a guy install my front speakers for me. Then, all that would be left was mount the amps, install rack in trunk, wire up and JAM! Damn! Well, if I sell all my old equipment and a few other things around the house, I may get back on track. Let's hope!

And see attached. It needs to be cleaned a little. In person, it just disappears!

Doesnt anyone want/need the functionality of a trunk? I mean, I have a blown system in my accord 2 ways, 5ways, 2 12's, 2amps. Crystal clear & hard hitting. Could probably make you go deaf [or at least inflict a severe rining in your ears for a few hours/days.
However, I know when I get mine, I want a simple JL 10 with an amp on the box and a small box, so that I can use the trunk as its supposed to be.
Lest we forget about the weight of boxes, amps, speakers etc. I love my current systme to death [it will be sad to see it go], but redo a few speakers, amp it, small sub, and good to go. I guess I don't have to go around tubthumpin and raisin deciple hell.
I still want a good sounding stereo... after all, who can deal with anything stock!?
