remote start for Coupe?

I searched and not find what I wanted.
Is it posible to install a remote start in our cars? Is there anybody that has a remote start on the C class with the IR key?

I think remote start would need a second keyfob (viper alarm has the remote start) and also ive seen some "remote startup" thing on ebay, for W203s.

on another thought. if that doesnt work, why dont u retro the "keyless start" the "push to start" feature. that would seem interesting.

I looked into remote start for my '02 coupe and was told by a local shop that they won't touch the c-class. It's way to dificult with the electrical system. good luck getting it done.

Is @ Home
from fun with dick and jane "mercedes on" lol

i too asked my local electronic place that installs alarms and audio and they told me to go elsewhere cuz they don't want to mess with it.

anyone know if its more complicated then the infiniti smart keys found in the fx45s? my dad managed to get an autostart for his car but the bad thing is he needs to hide a spare key fob inside the car at all time

The problem with remote start is that if you can start it with RF or Ir, then everyone can start it with the same technology. Not something I would want. You could install keyless go, then leave the ID card in the car, and connect an RF device to "push the button." This would leave your car quite unsecure.

K. so after I searched and searched I found out that you need a bypass kit for the IR key. I could not find any and I called a few companies but they only make it for the metal key. I realy wanted this.
