Hi all,

I am desperately seeking the part number of the main centre console part that goes round the Comand unit. Basically mine is chipped badly on the edge so I want to buy a new one - BUT after taking the thing off the car I find there is no part number and cause the trim didnt come with my car from the factory (it was fitted aftermarket) putting in my chassis number at a merc dealer doesnt help

The trim is Designo Poplar Brown and its in a W209 clk although teh same peice can be on a C Class as well!! If you have this trim in your car any chance you coudl help me find the part number so Ican order a new one? Other than that does anyone know anywhere in the UK where you can get wood trims repaired?

The CLK and C class wood trim in the center console is NOT the same. The upper part is different.

well im not going to get into an argument with you but they are - I should know as I have both cars!! and the centre console wood trim fits BOTH. Bare in mind we ARE talking about a 2002\03 model car ok?

I can GUARANTEE they are not the same wood. I have done several comand installs in 203 and 209 cars. The way you remove the wood is also different. 203 requires removal of the vents. 209 does not and that is the reason they are mounted differently. 209 has a deeper curve on top. 203 is more straight. bottom hooks are the same.

Now, i am lookin for wood trim for my 2005 c230,
and get rip off my aluminum trim too.
but i dunno where can i get these wood trim.

just try roudn breakers yards mate. thats where I got mine. problem is yours is a 2005 C class which means youll find it quiet hard I spose as it such a newer model
