Has anyone seen one of these keys with the orange release button? (the pic is a little fuzzy, but the color is a perfect match)



My 05 C230 only came with one key, so the dealer order me an additional one and I was shocked to see it had an orange release button. I've only seen gray and black release buttons.

 

i have never seen that but i've seen blue along with the grey and black. i imagine there are several colours we havent seen. :P

 

Mine is just like that. I, too, had the dealer order a replacement key and got the orange release. They ordered it in April of this year. Maybe it's something new?

Wow...now this is a boring thread. Hahaha, is it that big a deal what color they make a small piece of plastic? Unless of course you're trying to make it part of your wardrobe...

i got black. would the 07 keys fit older model c classes? the extra chrome piece is quite scintillating

 

When I had to get a new key, it had the red and black buttons in the package. I got to choose the black button.

 

No, I didn't take offense, but I do agree with you. This is a boring thread and I must be bored if I know the color of my slide thingy on my stinkin key.

I guess this just shows that we will discuss every single, tiny aspect of the C32 and C55 in this forum.

 

when I was issued new smart keys from the original 01 recall I got a lil baggy with like 5-6 different colors to use. I should still have it somewhere. I just went with black to flow.

 

seriously i've seen a lady fighting with a dealer's parts guy for a red button to match her Chanel shoulder bag...

It wasn't a pleasent thing to see...

 

why wouldn't the parts guy just sell her the other colored tabs??

the not-so-good-looking lady-in-Chanel insisted to get the red one to match her red Chanel bag but the poor young guy couldn't find one from a jar full of buttons of his. The lady was yelling and asked to see his manager. They must have been looking all over their inventory before they finally manage to find one for her. I saw a SL55 parked right outside the door and I supposed that's hers.

Don't you sometimes pity the dealer?
