I'm new and I have a few questions!
Hi! A friend of mine told me that I should join this forum. I'm a total newbie when it comes to cars, even though my dad has a repair and a body shop. I know how to drive and that's about it. I'm also a terrible parker and probably have a ton of scratches from hitting the curb so much. I haven't modded, but it's something I'm currently looking into since I'm always looking for new hobbies and interests.
What is something simple I can start with that doesn't drastically alter my car? I also don't want anything too masculine. Also, I didn't get a car with a built in navigation system because of the waiting time, is it possible to have it installed? How much would that cost?
This is probably the only picture I have of my car, taken last Fall. Since then we've gotten rid of the poodle (thankfully) and my hair is shorter, but my car looks exactly the same! I'll take some pictures without me in it to add to the official picture thread later.

Welcome to Mbworld, and congrats on the car
*you can get navigation/command, you can private message "steve" mbenzNL and ask, i know he sells them. I think its about 1300$, in that area.

To me, it really makes the front end stand out more.

I agree on the curb feelers, old school mod that I had on my Chevelle. You'll know when you get too close to the curb, This set looks good with jeweled tips - http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1936-...spagenameZWDVW
Also, a backup camera so you can see how close you are when parking. They have ones that are barely visible that mount to your license plate - http://cgi.ebay.com/2-4GHz-Wireless-...QQcmdZViewItem

hey Jeanna230,
i do hope you can make it next week, you will learn a lot from the ppl there.
anyway, welcome! and to answer your questions (since no one has yet)...
navi - it's not cheap or easy to install. i have been looking into getting it for my car for some time. you can def. purchase one from one of the forum sponsors. you are looking at $2,500+ USD + install. im not sure if there are shops in seattle that specalize in euro cars b/c there isnt any up here!
simple mods- flat hook emblem (already stated earlier) would be the easiest and cheapest mod - if this is your thing.
since you are having problems parking i would NOT recommed lowering your car. however, once you eventually get the hang of your car you might want to look into reparing those blemishes (i know i would).
aside from that, keep on looking around the forum. keep your eyes peeled for new threads and see what others are doing and pick their brains.
good luck

The True OG Modded out W203
Since you are not that careful with the car don't bother w/heavy modifications...maybe just euro strips(to get rid of those orange side markers),a flat hood badge(to get rid of the star-but the star is fun to look at when you are driving esp if it's your first MB so this is a toss up), the navigation retro fit and a nice tint. I modded out a couple of cars for my chick(an Audi vert and a MB)only for her to mess them up(she also 'hugs' the curbs)so I don't even bother w/that anymore for my girl lol

Actually, I'm not even sure that I want to mod my car! I think my car is perfect the way it is! But I do have several guy friends who always tell me I should do things to it. I don't even know what half the things are that you guys are suggesting, haha.
I've been meaning to get my windows tinted, but I've been too lazy to take it to my dad's shop. I'm not sure if I should put in navi because I already have a Magellan and because I'll probably get a new car in a few years. I do like the puddle lights a lot though! They're cute!

welcome to the forum
what ever you don't feel you need...don't bother getting it. why spend money just because someone else tells you to. lol
Magellan's good enough. my ex had one in her 04.5 C230k. you can update the map yearly I think.
you just owned a LOT of people on the forum with "the puddle lights are cute" comments..LOL people got'em cuz they the "cool" factor...not the "cute" factor...well at least for us guys.
btw, never post ur pic if you are a girl on the forum...LOL you and the car both look good tho ...and i can see why you said "thankfully" for getting rid of the poodle. I'm taking care of a Pomeranian for a friend for a while and these small dogs are simply pee-and-poo machine...
