stock wheel weight...
I was looking into buying a set of stock 17" wheels to replace my stock 16" wheels (2001 c240). I was wondering if anyone knew the actual weight of the wheels themselves. If the 17" wheels are a lot heavier than the 16" the acceleration of my car will be worsened, which I don't want (it's already slow). Another option I was looking at are lightweight wheels. Does anyone know of lightweight wheels that will fit and not cost a fortune? I found a company called centerline that has lightweight wheels, but the offset is 42 mm which is different from stock wheels. Is there a way to make these fit, or should I just find some wheels that have the correct offset? Thanks

Offsets for different types of wheels are found through the manufacturer and/or the search function, your friend, of this forum. Weights, in some cases, have also been posted. GL

I did a search for weights, but there were no weights posted for the stock 16" (seven spoke) wheels. I was also looking at the 17" stock wheels weights (the ones from the 05 SS), but couldn't find them either. Red230K posted the weight for the C7 wheel, but is that the funnel style wheels or a different wheel?

Yeah just search...nobody cares about you if you're not bringing any new information to the table so just search....too much work to answer you now. I have the info you seek but you need to get some caffeine just search. Got it. I'm really not caring if you've already searched in a time prior to this one here...search again.

I'm figuring that's sarcasim. Good sarcasim because that is very true. As I've been reading today, everyone that has been here for any period of time just thows out the "STFF" as an answer.....INSTEAD OF ANSWERING THE F'ING QUESTION!
