C230 to C270 Emblem?

Now that I have the pulley upgraded with ~ 20% more torque should I change my rear emblem to C276? Or since I have more HP then the C320 should I move up to a C330?

Just kidding…

Actually I am thinking about what to do with my KLEEMANN badges. I was thinking of removing the KOMPRESSOR emblem completely and changing the C230 to C23K or K23 or just removing it also. I don’t think I’ll use the KLEEMANN Rear badge.

I’m still debating and haven’t decided if I am going to use the Kleemann side badges, which are small and black.

Well, if you want to be different, or show off your upgrades, you should use the Kleemann logo with either the C230k or C23k counterpart. DON'T use the K23, since the K## is the naming convention of Racing Dynamics tuned BMWs. It is a reputable BMW tuner and you don't want Bimmer fans making fun of you as you drive by.

And you buy that? What have you changed the ECU settings to, if at all?

Buell, I am normally more trusting then I believe is your nature. I know the buttdyno feels good so yes I believe it’s in that area. It feels like a 10-20% gain. If it’s really 230+ or 220 or whatever at the crank I will really never know. To be honest I don't care. I feel the car has improved, and the products meet or exceed my expectations as Kleemann communicated them to me. I am very satisfied. For under $29KUS (~$2K in upgrades) I have a great car that now performs to or better then the level of our $40+K 225 HP Audi TT as my daily driver. FYI - We raced, I won, by a lot. Life is good.

BTW I have been running Stage II and base Ignition. If I do anything it will be to drop to Stage I or base on the Fuel Quantity. Right now it feels very smooth, only feels rich for about 5 seconds when I first start the car in the morning, rough idle. I’ll probably pull one of the plugs in a month or so and see how they look. My MB Tech is thinking I should leave both stock so I will regroup with him in a few months to see what he thinks.

Has this forum and some of its members created fears about the pulley upgrades, YES. Arguably good and bad. But I take this forums opinions, treat it with a little salt, and then talk to my Tuner and Tech and make the right decisions for me. In the end I believe a have a better and more predictable car to drive, because of the suspension upgrades, that is performing up to its potential.

Sorry for another long post. Long Live Mbworld.org

Benzer, Glad we heard from both half's of your mind with the double post.

Will do, so far MPG seems to be about the same, but I have been more aggressive then normal. That will change as I get more accustom to the enhancements and I ease off the gas pedal.

Edvpt, not to doubt your butt dyno but how will you know the different effects of the Stage 1/2/3 settings if you don't do a dyno. It's just shooting in the dark, a tuner tradition from what I see so you are in good company. I just want the setting that provides the best mix of a/f ratio vs. performance. For example, the 232hp might be based on no ECU changes, Stage II might be 200HP or 250HP, how will you ever know? How does your tech know?

It's not about fear, it's about getting the most performance out of your mod.

Congrats EDVPT. My car is setup using Stage 2 and base ignition awaiting my ASP pulley. Your suspension setup sounds great!

go with C23K
