Boost/Vacuum Gauge or Just Boost Gauge

Would it be ok to install a boost/ vaccum gauge on a supercharger car. It seems like 20psi boost gauges also come with vaccuum. 30psi is over kill for our cars. I came across this gauge for the Mini which also uses the eaton super charger. http://www.shop.com/op/~NMA3062_SUPE...51?xit_recom=1

I have boost/vac. gauge and vac. gauge is important because if you know how to read it will tell alot about running condition of the engine. My normal reading is 20 inch/merc.

So the vacuum part works while the car is idling or something else? Aslong as I know that the vacuum part of the gauge will work then I will get it. I didnt want it to be there just for looks.

Get the one with the Vac gauge. Most of the time an engine operates on pretty high vac...think about it, its an air pump.

Wow, sounds like your car has some SERIOUS POWER.

Do you have a dyno sheet for this car? How do you like the headers? I have a SuperSprint Res & Exhaust to put on, but I have been iffy on buying the header. What are your thoughts on this?

EDIT: Oops, I see the header as a future upgrade. What can you tell me about this two stage fuel delivery?

Hey, just ask your service adviser to change fuel settings via star diag, but it will not going to do any good if you do not have pulley done

I've read that supercharged cars dont create vacuum. I am confused now. When do you actually get a vacuum reading on your gauge(driving, idling, etc...) Should my car also have a vacuum reading somtimes. Does the newer MP45 Eaton super charger have anyhting to do with it.
I just want to add a boost gauge. Why is there conflicting info. So my question again, all though it has been answered but my research explains other wise, is:
A) Super chargers do create vacuum, so you need a boost/vac gauge OR
B) Super charges dont create vacuum so you just need a boost gauge.

All engines create vacuum at idle, braking, cruising and partial acceleralation. Naturally aspirated engines at full throttle will see very little vacuum, turbo/sc engines will see boost at full throttle.

So yes, a vacuum/boost guage would be benefictial.

So does any one have suggestions on what brand boost gauge I should get? What ones are good to get?
I was thinking about the AutoMeter 3607. It lights up through the numbers and pointer just like our stock gauges in the dash.
