It seems as tho both of these are car brokers and if anyone had any opinion on brokers in general that'd be great.

I can't say the service was great by the salespeople. Its certainly no way that a Mercedes dealership would treat you.
That being said, Platinum was easy to work with. At our request they drove the vehicle over to Phil Smart Mercedes in Seattle for a buyer's inspection, swapped floor and trunk mats with a new car and lined up an appointment to get all of the warrenty items fixed.
As much as they say they won't negotiate, they will. We walked in with a check and walked out with a 2003 C240 (white) with 26,782 on the ODO for $20,800 before tax and title. Not a bad deal for our first Benz!
