Leasing question... Help!
So right now I've got a 03 C240 w/ around 29K miles... Factory warranty is ending soon and I've got an additional 4 year extended warranty. I'm currently paying $400/month and if I were to trade it in, I'd either break even or maybe be up a grand or so...
My question is, should I just keep this car (I love it, its in excellent condition)... Or should I sell it and lease a brand new C-class? The payments would be right about the same...
And I don't plan on keeping this car for more than a couple years, so I don't care about the money I put into it/money I get back from it... While I can't afford much more than I'm paying right now (college student), I basically see my car payments ($400/month) as just a monthly bill to drive the car. Not worried about money I get back whatsoever. (Just wanted to make that point clear)
What do you guys think? Do I keep the car I have right now? Or do I try and lease? Will I get end up paying more money w/ the lease? B/c it is pretty important that I stay in the same payment range.
Thanks much.
Look at it this way.
1) How many more payments will you have on the 240?
2) Leasing will cost you for the term
If 1 is less than 2 then as a college kid you might find uses for that free money later. If its the other way you'll be facing a new MY, speak 08 W204, sometime middle to late next year per the posts on this forum.
