can we replace our climate control with the digital one? Also would it be just an easy drop in?

good question....I would love to have my climate control upgraded to be digital too. I would hope that it would be a fairly easy upgrade though.

I like the black birdseye maple trim. The best part about it is when the wood meets the radio and the hazard triangle button which has the chrome trim. Otherwise, the wood on some areas (such as the ashtray cover) looks a bit tacky.

If you wanted "marble" trim, you can get that in Europe. They have real granite available for the trim. They take a small veneer of rock (literally) and they somehow bond it onto plastic. That's not available yet in the US, at least not without making a special order and digging out the option code for it. Car companies think that us Americans are an easy market and therefore lessen the choices we can choose for colours.

That really sucks for people who bought the first 2007's without the digital climate control...

If 2007 has digital climate control, then MB will not put in front seats leather insert ??? MB Tex ???
I have the early 2007 with dial climate control and front seat leather insert.

I just checked with my saleslady and she and she got with someone at mbusa and found out that US spec w203 do not and will not be getting the digital climate control. she said that picture must be from when they were going to put it in becuase she has one showing it also.

I didn't know the first 2007's had leather inserts...good to know. I guess it is an equal trade off for some. Depends on what you like more...plus now after the last post I guess the newer 2007's won't have digital climate control anywayz. So if you did get leather inserts in your 2007 then you WIN! Congrats!

excites your girlfriend
i would rather NOT have digital climate control. i have that in the bmw and it sucks! you're too hot? instead of one quick turn of a knob you have to press the tempature down button about 20 times while it scrolls one degree at a time to the tempature you want. regular analong climate control works great, thanks.
