wait 'til the rims get to you and then react, this may be a pre-emptive panic, by the way 18x10 are no biggie, it should be fine.

This is why it's always important to always check with our sponsors.

Here's a link from Tire Rack that explains what offset is. You can see from the diagram why this would be important when purchasing rims.
LINK: Tire Rack - Offset definition

As for your rims, 18X10 is NO problem as long as the offset is correct. I am running 19X10 in the rear with no problems, so no need to freak out. Just make sure that your "friend" that bought rims for you got the right offset and you'll be fine. If you have a 2004.5 or higher w/ big brakes in the front, the ideal offset would be the C32/C55 offset.

One thing I do have to comment on is, who is your friend? That's a damn good friend if he/she is buying you some rims!...I need more friends like that....LOL.

the reason im asking and panicing is cuz when i called my tire dealer
and said i was getting 10s hes like "WHAT that wont on a c class! you have to do this and that and this (he was saying stuff that i dont understand....)

thats why im asking online and stuff....

i dont know about the offset

theyre SL65 AMG replicas. being built.
hes buying them for me cuz he owes me money and said "here, ill get u rims"
hes owes me liek 1100 dollars, but is getting the rims which are more (i dont know how much more tho) to make up for it. hes owed me for almost a year
lol yeah
he makes good money, more hten me, so he said since i helped him in the past, and didnt really bug him, hell buy these rims for me as conpensation

bascially i guess, would sl65 rims fit on my 05 c230? i think theyre being built off that platform. ill ask him when i see him later today

your tire dealer might be trying to jack you, it's pretty obvious you're new to this ballgame. There are sl65 replicas that will fit your car, if that's the one you're getting you should ok. Just wait 'til you get it and then ask questions if it doesn't work.

Where is your tire dealer? I'd suggest finding a new one. Sorry, but there are tons of people on these boards rocking 19X10. That's one more inch of height to contend with than 18X10's. If they were giving you all kinds of reasons why you can't fit 18X10's on the C Class, you should write those reasons down. That's the only way we can be more specific about helping you out. Call them back and ask them exactly why they think it won't work.

Now, as for the SL65 replicas, hmmm...if they're being "built" are they being built as 2 piece or 1 piece rims? Also, if you have a 2005 C230, you have to consider that they must clear the front calipers! You have bigger calipers in the front than luxury C Class models, so the offset has to accomodate those brake calipers.

There is so much more in purchasing rims than, "Oh, I want bigger rims." Regardless of whether your friend wanted to do this to make up for a debt, You still should've done your research first.

Get as much information as you can about the rims and post whatever you find out. Ideal setup to fit perfectly on your car would be the C32 offset.

Read my reply again. I mention it at the bottom of my post. If that is enough information, do a search for "offset". This has been discussed several times.
