headroom in C230K

Is there a difference in front headroom between a sunroof and non-sunroof C230K? The MB website doen not have this information and the dealer does not have a non-sunroof car to examine. This information will help determine whether i buy a sunroofed 2002 off the lot or order a 2003 without it.

Thanks.

Yes, there is a difference. I think it is between one and two inches.

When sitting in the cars, make sure the seat is all the way down.

I have a coupe w/o a sunroof and there is a definite difference. Also, the dealer told me it was two inches.

even if i had to be supine, i'd get the panoramic roof... it is definitely my favorite option on the car.

I'm also 6'3" and I have at least 5" inches of headroom in a Panorama-less Coupe. Doesn't sound like you could go wrong with either version. Unless you're over 6'6" or have a disproportionately long torso.

Cheers, BT

It'll depend what type of view you want over the hood. Having always driven smaller cars, I used to sitting with a "high" vantage point over the hood. With the sunroof, I had to lower the seat to a position too low for my own personal preference. So, no sunroof allows me to raise the seat to a better height for me.

Talking

Headroom COULD be a little better.
I have the pana roof, and have to put the seat down on the floor, which is a little uncomfortable. I had the dealer remove the handle from the drivers side roof ( I mean why would you need it)
since my head hit it before rather hard once, and I push windshield rearview mirror sideways most of the time, as it blocks my view, except as needed. All in all I'm happy and 6'2".
If I wanted an SUV, I'd have bought one. But I bought a Sports Benz.
I like it! You'll put up with anything if you truely like a car.
I mean how much headroom is in a Lambo, or exotic car?
I'd still own one if I had those kind of bucks.

So I agree with Mark, its more comfortable with the seat raised, but then you need to recline it more in the sunroof car.
AND I agree that it's (sunroof) the best part of the car!
I wouldn't have gotten the car without it.

Push the mirror sideways???? How do you do that? or is the mirror in the non-panorama/rain sensor car moveable from side to side?
