yeah, call insurance, and find out if there is any state law about insurance covering it, I know here in FL, insurance has to cover it 100%, any damage to the front windshield. and here thats by state law!

I’ve had the windshield replaced twice already! Both times by the dealer – I felt that with all the sensors behind the mirror etc I wanted to be sure it was done right.
They cost $1150 both times with $500 deductible.
Hence the “2 gold-plated windshields” comment found in my signature!

My dealership doesn't replace windshields, period.
You should get the $100 deductible on the insurance, that way it'll cover the glass and it's not that much more from the $500 deductible.
