Is there any chance both services are serviced by the same back-end company?

I was bored on the way home from SoCal to NoCal so I pushed the info button to see what happened. I couldn't hear the person on the other end, I used my friends on-star and it was clear and automatically upped the volume. Come on MB if your gonna do it, do it right. I shouldn't have to stop the car to hear you.

One more example 'FOR' Tele-Aid...
I live in a populated but semi-rural area; missing a corner and ending up off the road where you cannot be seen from the road is not all that impossible. We have even had vehicles run into trees 30’ from our main highway and the vehicles could not be seen due to the vegetation surrounding the trees.
Cell phone is great but only if you can still dial out. In Northern California our cellular 911 service still requires the caller to be able to identify the location; not easy to do if you have gone off-road at night or semi-conscious. I used Tele-Aid once and M-B knew my location within one house address.
