Thank you Mercedes Benz for the thoughtful safety feature.
Last night, on my way home from the girlfriend's house...I was driving on a back road, kickin' my Benz in some twisties...and in what should my wondering eyes but appear...8 whitetail deer...sans sleigh and fat man.
Luckily I only had one glass of mulled wine, so my reaction time was still ok. Anyway, I lifted off the accellerator, tapped the brake, and the pedal pulled to the floor and pulsed. I was in a slight curve, so the car first jolted left, then straightened out and stopped....dead...no skid....no contact.
All the deer made it home safely...and so did my bumper, windshiled and me!
Anyway....Merry Christmas to all and to all....a safe and hapy day with your families!
But seriously, I believe that there is a whole electronic + computer + mechanical thing happening that the car is not full-throtleing and braking at the same time - it may appear like that, because these changes happen in seconds' fractions, but otherwise, i believe that they are made to work in a harmony, i.e., the engine rpm's go down and the brakes are applied. One would do the same in such a situation, only that we cannot do this that quickly and precisely as all that ESP thing can do it.
By the way, I used your tip to contact MB of Clearwater, and they connected me with Brian Sexton. I am currently in the proces off doing all the paperwork that is needed to order my CCoupe from them, actually I am waiting for an e-mail from him that will instruct me to do whetever will have to be done. His price was way under anyone else (lease, $400/month + $1,200 out-of-pocket, 3 yrs/10k miles/year), so I do not mind to get it from him, and then possibly to go through some grief when I will be maintaining/servicing my car in Miami. Thanks for your tip!
Correct Flash, I have forgotten to mention that one.

Sorry, not Brian but Ron Sexton. I hope that your response will stay the same, i.e., "He is been a great guy to deal with..."
... tapped the brake, and the pedal pulled to the floor and pulsed.
