It is very adjustable. There are bolts on the sides that can make it go up and down on each side of the muffler. I was going to level it out last week but i got lazy. Im going to do it soon.

remus muffler
i was going to purchase a used remus muffler and i have a c 230 k 4 door and im buying it off of a c 240 and i was wondering would i still directly bolt on? how is the sound?

My guess is that it would assuming you mean the new C230K 4 door since the layout is the same. I have the Renntech/Sebring/Remus (many tuners use the same muffler made by Remus and put their tuner name on it) and it's real quiet so you won't upset the neighbors. It has a faint rumble that can be heard if the windows are open and it's real quiet outside. Mostly I can feel it as a little more vibration at low rpm. Most of the time I can't tell it's there. If you want more noise check out the Eisenmann mufflers, they come in different volume settings. I think Evosport.com has them, ask for Ben.

Don't want to bring you down but welcome to my HELL! I have had the C230 SEDAN since March and i've looked everywhere! Here is the deal everyone with a C240 C320 or C32 thinks/says oh I think it will fit its the same thing....well I talked to Remus and they said NO. I talked (actually went there) to Brabus and this what they told me:
"We thaought it was the same as the C320 and 240 we tried to put it on but it is DIFFERENT"
OK i hope they lied, and i'm wrong. If you find any exhaust (except Renntech which claims they have a catback for my car > I don't like the square tips) and/or muffler that fits (not someone thinks but someone knows for sure or has tried it) PLEASE let me know.

I've asked Brabus and Evosports to let me know if they got something or know for sure the other W203 exhausts fits my car.
P.S. Ben at Evoworks told me a great idea check with the dealer and ask them for the partnumber of the exhaust/muffler on the C230 and the C240 and C320 if they are the same then its the same freakin thing and it should work!!!! Of course i called my dealer ask them the part number and the dude put me on hold for 1/2 hour and then hung up....he mustta gone to germany to get the part number!!!!

RB Tech mufflers
Im getting a good deal on a custom quad exhaust but had a few quesitons. One of the reasons im going with this muffler is that i really think the tips are the nicest tips made for the benz that fits the look im going for.. I know there are only two mufflers made for our cars that they sell and its the v6 and v8 muffler.. but i was wondering how they would sound on my c 230k because it is a 4 cyl and not a v6.. Does the c230k put out as much air out of the exhaust as the c 240? performance wise would this muffler be a wise desicion? the guy there told me that the people who made there muffler make the mufflers for remus is that true?

U need time to break it in...
I have a high performance Eisenmann on my C320. I could definitely tell a difference when I started up my car. And on the high end on the highway. But after about a 2 months of driving I could tell that the sound got deeper and more throaty. K&N's help too.
I'm real happy with mine.
