Update:

The sound has gotten a little louder and is nicer than when I first installed. I trimmed the bumper with a jig saw. I had a lot of trouble with one of the hangers not being right were I needed it.

Meanwhile I sent eisenmann an email asking them to identify the model of muffler I had based on the ID tag. This is the response:

thanks for your e-mail. Now I can comprehend, what kind of system you have
received. You got a realy special kind of exhaust. You can change the
performance level by your own. Your shipment should contain of a rear and
intermediate muffler as well as a "soundpipe". The system rear + intermediate
muffler = hi performance, system only rear muffler + soundpipe = race
performace.

BTW, im selling my exhaust for 500 bucks if anyone wants it, id prefer a local buyer in NJ, but we can do negotiating. I need money, and this exhasut rocks but its the only thing i can think of to sell lol.

Very nice! I definitely like the added "meat" to the sound with the Eisenmann exhaust.

Any chance on you releasing MPG, AVI, QT (not all pick one) of these movies? I refuse to put Real Audio on my PC. Too much spyware.

yes. check back in a day or two. I prefer MPG myself but the audio got all out of sync when I first tried it. I will have another go at it.

 

Wow, It sounds very nice. Although the stock exhaust sounds good already, obviously the eisenmann sounds much nicer.

Note: Automatic mic gain was turned off for both recordings. Both before and after have the exact same mic gain. Playing the movies back to back should give you an idea of volume differences too.

 

After you had slapped on the Eisenmann exhaust and started the car I had already started smiling. By the time the clip finished I was grinning ear to ear. Awesome sound man! Great stuff you got. Sounds real real meaty like preyx said.

 

Huh! Like Windows Media Player is less of that!

vadim, haha, yeah Windows Media Player does submit anonymous usage statistics, but you can turn it off. You can do the same in RealPlayer, but RealPlayer is just really annoying in that there's many instances I can't figure out how to disable an icon here and there, and whatnot. And besides, Media Player is already installed ( Microsoft's monopoly)

Where can I pick up an Eisenmann for a decent price? Think a group buy maybe? Seems to be a lot of interest. Anyone selling theirs?

 

you will deff have to record the car at speed like the eisenmann website does (bmw 5 series style!!!)

 

Which program did you use to put "Squar" blocks on your licences plate?? I was trying to do that.. but no luck.

 

I did all of the editing in Vegas 4.0 from Sonic Foundry.

There are three layers to the video (other than the text).

1. the in car camera watching the tach. I applied a cookie cutter effect to knock out everything but the circle.

2. The rear shot of the car. Another cookie cutter effect was applied to this layer to knock out the rectangle over the plate.

3. a copy of the above layer but this time I applied a pixelating effect to the whole layer.


So when you look at the plate you are looking through the first two to the thrid blocky one.

I used to use premeire for this stuff but I think I'm gonna swtich to Vegas for a while.

 

Well, I finally took pictures. Sorry it took me so long. Ive been busy. Anyways, here it is. After 2 weeks with it, Im very happy with it. It is a lot more quieter than my previous setup but there is a deep tone to it. This exhaust sounds more fit for a mercedes or at least thats what all my friends tell me. Ive only gotten complements on it.

Now my butt dyno says, same thing. Haha. I really have no clue if its faster or not. It doesnt really seem slower nor faster. I will have to go dyno the car to find out. When I get a chance I should go down to Evosport and they can run it on the dyno again.

They sell this exhaust with a rear valence for stock bumpers. Now I want to see how that looks.
