Square on bumper.

Hey guys great board you have here. Just got my new (to me) 2004 c230k. I LOVE it. My last car was a 2004 ford cobra, and this is a total change. Ill say i miss the power for sure.

Anyway... on to my question. I notice that on the passenger side on both the front and rear bumper there is a small square (about 1.5 inches) with a small triangle on it (about 1 mm). I was wondering what the h@ck this is?

Thanks.

It is for your tow hook.

Since the bumpers cover the frame of the car they have that square for you to get access to the frame for towing/pulling purposes. If you pop that square off, there is a hook in your tool kit (or with your jack) that screws into it.

Mercedes is gone physically, but still in my heart.
Too bad, I was just looking for a Terminator. Would've traded my '03 C240 + cash.

THE C
They are always on the same side and you will find that with alot of european cars. From what I know it was originally designed for shipment to the US and such like that however, you will find the bolts in the trunk for attachement. It will always been on the same side front and back.

Oh yeah that thing was amazing. It ****s and gits. I had full exhaust, headers, intake, a few other little things here and there. It was a beast, crazy loud. The next step was a smaller pully, but i decided to sell it and get the C. They are without a doubt night and day.

Actually, I have seen a video on the internet at some point of a guy strapping bottle rockets his POS taurus.

Though this was the most futile attempt I have ever seen I give him a bronze star for trying. lol.
