Any type of amp for ipods?

I hardwired my 30 gig apple ipod in my C230 and was wondering if there was any type of in-line amp or something that will allow me to keep the volume on the ipod lower and retain some battery life for a longer period of time. Having it turned up all the way really reduces the amount of time I can listen to it my car. Any help is appreciated

The boosteroo is just the ticket, and cheap at $ 28.00. If you need more crankin sound search for the "headbangers headphone amplifier."

I haven't noticed any battery life difference at low or high volume. Do you have it hooked up via the headphone jack or properly connected through an adapter that ipod plugs into?

What I've noticed is that when I listen to the ipod normally, the battery meter drops very slowly. I can listen to it sometimes for an hour without the battery level decreasing. But when it's plugged into my car, I need it turned up to max volume to really hear it through the system. An hour later and I may have lost 25,30% battery life at least. I have it hooked up via the MB cable plugged into the aux. Not sure what it would be called.

I haven't noticed this problem, maybe there is something wrong with your ipod? How old is it? Battery could be going...
Why not just buy the cigarette lighter power adapter then u don't have to worry about battery life.
