demand on the dealer rewiring your headlight/blinkers 02/03 c class warning

Front Turn Signal Lamps Inoperative - Model Year 2003 & 2004
This is caused by inadequate electrical contact between the turn signal bulb socket and the headlamp housing.
if you are under warrenty it will be free! I just got done hard wiring one side tonight. not having a wiring diagram sucks!!!
this was something improved on future models but sucks for us... no recall!!!????!!!????

I sympathize with you. My 02 coupe had this done under warranty late last year. The dealer used a new pigtail and wiring harness. I was told that this problem happens only on some cars if the original light socket was only slightly larger than it should be. The lamp and the socket start arcing and slowly burn out the harness. Both mine failed within days of each other. Even now my coupe only has 29,000 km on it.
