? Service A and B

I was reading the service booklet from my 020 C240 and noticed that it doesn't mention changing the air filters at all. Should this be done on a service A or B? I looked at mine yesterday and it was FULL of sand and I have been keeping up with my services. I didn't know if the dealerships were responsible for checking or changing this. Thanks!

My 02 coupe service booklet says change every 96,000 km (60,000mi) or 4 years. Near the front of the book it mentions that the air filter should be checked every time at both services. If you can see the sand gently take the filter out and vacuum it yourself. It's easy and the car will run better with less restricted air flow. Its possible they are cleaning it but your environment is constantly causing the problem. More likely they have missed it.

Thanks for the info. I didn't see that in the front of the booklet. I have had nothing but problems with the dealership down here. I was wondering if it was required for checking because I did notice the 60K mile part and I only have 55K now. My money it is the dealership not doing it. It almost looked like I went off roading in the thing!
