Cd Changer Problems

I have an 2001 C320 and my cd changer is saying "NO MAGAZINE/NO CD CHANGER." I tried to hit the eject button and the magazine won't come out. It just goes click and click. I brought it to the dealership and they said I probably need a new cd changer (I think they don't know what they're talking about just trying to get me to get a new one). any suggestions on how to fix it?

Thanks

It sounds like you are experiencing a problem that I have had for the past 2 years. In fact mine is currently stuck with the magazine in the changer. What I have done in the past to get it functioning again is to get a tooth pick and pick at the CD tray that is stuck inside the changer, the other thing that I do is tap/hit it and sometimes that works. I do not know how to prevent this from happening--wish I did.

hmm well i asked couple of my friends today that knew about systems, they told me to just take the changer out remove the cover and try to get it unstuck, something is probably causing a jam in there so i think imma try that, if not i will probably get a Pioneer Avic-N3 or Eclipse AVN7000 to replace it cause i can't live w/o my music while riding radio is just too repetitive.
thanks
