Exclamation Any Interest In Custom M271 Intakes?

if there is enough interest, i can make some M271 intake pipes like mines for you guys.
here is what they look like:

i have been using this setup for about 3 months problem free. the first day i put it on, i noticed a lil more power and the exhaust was a bit noisier. this will stop the engine from sucking in hot air from the engine bay through the cloth pipe, and it will suck in fresh air through the grille.
it consists of a stainless steel pipe, 2 blue silicone couplers and 4 clamps.
pricing will be at about $50 plus $7 for shipping, but if there is enough interest, i can lower the price down.
let me know guys

How does this play w/ warranty?? and How easy of an install..I assume pretty easy. Because last thing i want is to have to it to the dealer, they pop the hood and see it. So I would need to be able "plug & play" with it. How much more noise...its truly noticeable such that any old plain joe off the street be able to tell the difference 'tween it & stock?? or do you really have to be listenning for it to tell?

I'm Interested!!!
but do you get any trouble with water coming in? I saw some other threads talking about how the cloth lets the water pass through. Have you had any trouble with this? i live in florida where 6" of rain is possible in one day...
thanks!
Randy

no affect on warranty...as far as i know

very easy install. just take off the cloth pipe, and put this one in place and tighten up the clamps.

i dont know about noise difference between stock, but it made my eisenmann race noticeablly louder.

Nice looking mod RLee... simple yet effective.

While we're on the subject, why is it that no one takes advantage of the second air duct right in front of the airbox? I would think that would supply the coolest air and with NO resistance (bends, etc.). I assume it must be a water entry issue, but I can't imagine a couple of bends takes that issue away regardless. I'd be interested in a straight air path duct as long as it won't screw my engine up.

Heat Shield

I agree on the heat shield.

I'd imagine since steel absorbs heat it would negatively impact the COLD AIR intake effect and reduce the effectiveness compared to factory.
