A box on 4 wheels
You can sell those chrome wheels if there in mint condition with tires for about $1200 on Ebay and then add a few bucks for a nice set of rims. Also, I have clear 05 oem headlight system if your interested in purchasing.

Not to knock the emblem, but if you're gonna spend that much on a first mod, there are a few things you could do before getting an emblem.

That is correct. It was recently discovered (on a newbies car) that there were early build 2005 models that had the 4 piston calipers.

And what are those things he can do Mr drexappeal? I need some ideas too since I am pretty new to Mercedes mods.

- Euro Impact Strips or clear sidemarkers (whichever you like, but clear sidemarkers are very cheap and you can get more mods on top of that)
- S Class style taillights
- Roof spoiler
- Trunk spoiler
- Euro Convex mirrors
- K&N filter
- Bulb upgrades
- Tint (if you like tint)

I'm sure there are more that I can't think of off the top of my head, but these mods are either near the same price (some are a little bit more) as the emblem or some can be combined to be around the price of the emblem.

DFWDude made a very nice emblem, but it is also a lot of money for an emblem. IMO, it's a mod that should be done after other mods are completed. It's almost like the emblem would be the ultimate finishing touch, but not necessarily the most noticable first mod.

You know i am still up in the air on that one.

As far as the custom box, i think i am going to build it myself

Could be a fun little project, i will get the directions off the internet. I have searched and searched and cant find anyone that makes one for (2) 10" subs for my car.

If that all comes down in flames, i will just go get one built i guess.

hss0p,

I would show you how I did it but, I don't believe we can post pics on here yet. Anyone know how I can attach some pics for him? They are posted in other threads on this forum.

Thanks in advance!

You can post pics as long as they are linked from a picture hosting website (i.e. photobucket, imageshack, etc...) Just can't add attchment pics on here yet.

Now, if you have pics posted in other threads, you can always find the threads, copy the links and post those links in here.

Try these hss0p:

If you would like more step-by-step construction photos, I can email them to you provided you let me know your address. Lemme know what you think!

P.S. The finished photo looks a little rough. I have repainted it since and also, it looks much better in person!

Yeah, it was a tough decision. But, the wife did not want big speaker boxes filling up the trunk (she does not even know this exists!). Even with an MDF box across the back seat, it would have invaded the trunk too much. It is nice to have the majority of it available for golf clubs, coolers, groceries, etc. I have a can of Fix-a-Flat in the trunk for a temporary, easy fix and a cell phone and Roadside Assistance for a duzy. I am thinking about run-flat tires for my next set!

PM received. Pictures on the way!

Having no spare is kind of dangerous...be careful - even with a can of fix a flat you could run into some trouble. Go for the run flat tires...

Congrats hss0p - nice ride!
