Question synthetic oil?

okay, i know next to nothing about cars. i enjoy driving them and that's about it. i just have a question for those out there that do know what they're talking about.

would it be a good idea to use synthetic oil in the C230? I don't have one yet so i have no idea what the manual says but i was planning on using pure synthetic when i finally do get my car. is this a good idea or is there some reason why i shouldn't use synthetic? just wondering

since your in the US, all your oil changes are included in purchase price. But Yes I have used only Mobil 1 synthetic in my car. They have a European car formula thats 0w-40 with Supersyn. Thats what i used on both Camaro's and thats what i specify that MB uses in my families cars.

Use only synthetic oil. MB uses it on oil changes in all the newer cars.
