i have 2 sound clip, one was cold start from the engine bay,
the 2nd one is from the rear exhaust while the engine is warm

This is exactly how mine starts also in the morning. And the sound gets louder and shakes the car once I put it in Reverse or Drive. If any of you 1.8L M271 owner out there say this doesn't sound like a diesel engine at startup, you obviously don't know what a diesel engine is or heard of one.
