Warranty Question
Warranty Question
Does doing a modification like upgrading to Bixenons void any warranty stuff. The dealer will have to be informed of the change due to the changing of the computer setting.

It's the service writer's call....
Most of the time it voids the warranty on that specific component or the electrical feed to that area. However, if the dealer does the work for you, you're covered by their warrany. Example: if you replaced the OEM headlamps with HID or BIX yourself, you're on your own if there's a problem. If they do the installation at an authorized MB service center, then your headlights are covered within whatever limits they impose.
However, this may or may not affect the warranty on the rest of the car...depending on the mood of the service writer....and whether you leave a box of donuts in the car for the service guys or not.
