A few things to note guys:

1. The Brabus lip is flexible plastic and not prone to cracking like FG or CF.
2. The Brabus lip must flex to be installed with the nice fit it has, otherwise you get the Carlsson or Lorinser lip that stick out a bit more.
3. A black CF lip on anything other than a black car will look silly IMHO
4. $400 for a CF lip + overseas shipping, or $600 for the real Brabus lip + paint. Its not a huge price difference for something that changes the look of the coupe so dramatically from the front.

let me clarify... painted CF lip ?

why not go regular fiberglass + flex agent or ABS then paint it ?
would be cheaper anyways

Number 3 is totally ridiculous because CF lips on black cars are mainly unnoticeable, even though it still looks nice in black. It looks great on all colors, esp white, and I'm not saying that because I have a white car. But on black it just looks like a waste of money (considering that a person buys it solely on looks and not on weight differential) because it looks just like a regular black lip from far away. So I would agree with you that buying the real thing would be the better option.

Anyway, we will probably get to making a C230 carbon fiber front lip done within the next 2 months I hope. I have a special place in my heart for the Coupes, it was one of m y favorite cars I owned for some reason.
How about some replica C32 and C30 AMG Coupe nose and tail sections for us? Getting one outta Europe is iffy. Steve said he doesn't do nose and tails anymore.

Its the Honda-hater in me that would have to disagree. Its a JDM thing to put black unpainted lips on Hondas, and from a distance you cannot tell its not CF. Thus to me it looks cheap and out of place, thus why I like it on black, cause it blends with the black car.

I'm not even a fan of CF hoods, yet at least you can justify the weight savings. With a lip, you're adding weight, thus its a waste, only for show, and IMHO looks out of place unless you've got some other CF items.

Look up pics of the CF C32/55 replica spoilers available for the W203 sedan, they look tacky.

i guess we gotta decide whether it's gonna be CF or regular materials

the mold should be the same from what they are telling me, so we just have to decide which way to go ? 5 cf ? 5 fiberglass/abs ? 5 each ?

the grill, any interest ? pics would be nice for me to use to get a quote

as for other items, anything is possible as long as we are making about 5 pieces and if we are duplicating it, have the original...

gabe

I do perfer Painted Material vs CF, but that might be harder for your distriubutor, if CF is easier, I can do CF.

paintable material is no problem

painted is just a little harder to get a better price unless everyone wants brilliant silver or all black or something..

if each of the lips are painted different colors, that might be a problem

thats right, painting each is difficult. Primed lip but cheaper price is ok, since some of us would take up about $100 to paint.

What about just all CF patterend?
